What is Savora?
Savora is a cooking companion app that helps you discover recipes based on ingredients you already have. Scan your ingredients, get matched recipes, and cook with step-by-step guidance.
Is Savora free to use?
Yes, Savora is free to download and use. The free plan includes browsing recipes, basic ingredient scanning (5 scans per day), saving favourites, and shopping lists. Premium unlocks unlimited scanning, the chef assistant, advanced meal planning, and more.
Which devices does Savora support?
Savora is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. We're also working on bringing more features to the web.
Do I need an internet connection?
An internet connection is required for ingredient scanning and recipe discovery. However, saved recipes can be accessed offline.
Features
How does the ingredient scanner work?
Point your phone's camera at your ingredients and Savora's image recognition technology identifies them. It works with thousands of common ingredients and improves continuously. You can also add ingredients manually.
Can I filter recipes by dietary requirements?
Yes, Savora supports filtering by multiple dietary preferences including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto, paleo, and more. You can also set allergen preferences in your profile to automatically exclude unsafe recipes.
What is the chef assistant?
The chef assistant is your personal cooking companion available in the Premium plan. Ask it questions while cooking, get substitution suggestions, learn techniques, and receive personalised tips based on your skill level.
Account & Privacy
What data does Savora collect?
We collect only what's necessary to provide our service: your account information, scanned ingredient data, saved recipes, and usage analytics. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can delete your account at any time from the app settings. This permanently removes all your data from our servers.
Are my scanned images stored?
Scanned images are processed in real-time for ingredient detection and are not permanently stored on our servers. Only the detected ingredient list is saved to improve your recipe recommendations.
Premium & Billing
How much does Premium cost?
Premium is $4.99/month or $29.99/year (save 40%). Both plans include a 7-day free trial so you can try everything before committing.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Go to your device's subscription settings to manage your plan. You'll keep Premium access until the end of your billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google depending on your platform. Contact their support for refund requests. We also offer a 7-day free trial so you can evaluate Premium before being charged.
